Financial Literacy
Prepare high school students for college and the real world with academic coursework that intentionally develops the soft skill of financial literacy. Our courses teach students the concepts needed for budgeting, saving, managing finances and debt—all essential skills for life preparation.
The Importance of Financial Literacy
A critical education gap exists: 22% of U.S. teens lack basic financial skills, but only 29% of Americans took a personal finance course in high school. In response, several states have created standards for financial literacy and personal finance.
Research shows that teaching personal finance in schools has a positive effect on students’ financial literacy and economic behavior. Whether delivered in person or online, provding high school students with essential financial knowledge and skills will ensure they're prepared for life beyond high school.
